SONIC BOOM PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES
**2017 SONIC BOOM PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES**
The Fort Belvoir Sonic Boom Track Club performance guidelines are derived from statistical performance data from a combination of current USATF Youth track & field national qualifying rankings, and the club’s statistical performance average of the club’s athlete’s. The guidelines provide targeted performance goals and standards for all athletes to obtain in order to be competitive in the qualifying meets leading up the National Championship competition. Athletes who are unable to meet these standards before June 10th 2017 will not be eligible to compete in the AAU first round qualifier meet. Coaches will make the final decision as to whether or not an athlete is qualified to compete. The attached performance standards were to establish the criteria for athletes to be eligible to compete at the AAU qualifier. Athletes who meet these standards will be advised of their eligibility to compete at the qualifier meet. Any questions should be directed to the Head Coach, Alton Greene.
Sonic Boom Track Club was established by Coach Richard Herman in 1999. The track club was started to assist local military high school athletes in securing scholarships through competitive track and field.
